Miles Webster Sater (1881-1953) was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on July 5, 1881. He was a commercial artist in Chicago and lived in Elmhurst, Illinois. He had a studio at 104 S. Michigan Avenue in 1916 and a studio in the Auditorium Building at 431 S. Wabash Ave in 1920. He retired to Asheville, North Carolina, where he operated a tourist court. He died there in December 1953.
