- Frederick Almond Zimmerman was born in Canton, Ohio. After
graduating from high school, he moved to Pasadena and enrolled
at University of Southern California. He further studied under
Victor D. Brenner. He exhibited locally and was an instructor
at the Pasadena Art Institute. He was a member of the California
Art Club, the Laguna Beach Art Association and the Pasadena Society
of Artists. He exhibited at the California Art Club, the Pasadena
Art Institute and at the California state fair.
